New “playmate” for Grant Denyer

Sony Playstation and Dick Smith Electronics have joined forces with Grant Denyer’s Fujitsu V8 Supercar team for the balance of this years Championship.

The Summit Fleet Leasing/Playstation Ford will carry branding for Playstation 3’s new Gran Turismo Prologue game, in a deal that will see the V8 Supercar displayed at various Dick Smith Electronic stores between now and the end of the season.

“This will be a great association as it will also involve giveaways of Playstation 3 product at certain store locations,” Denyer said. “It also ensures we have the budget to complete the series this year with Matthew White Racing.”

Denyer celebrated his first V8 Supercar race win at the last round of the Fujitsu series at Sandown Raceway in Victoria, and is keen to run  at the front again this weekend at Qld Raceway.

“At least I will get plenty of practice on  the Playstation so no excuse for not having my eye in when we get to the race track.”

Grant is also nursing a rib injury from a recent accident when filming a segment for SUNRISE.

“It was one of those silly things, when I slipped and caught my ribs on the bullbar of a 4 wheel drive. I have been in immense pain for the past 2 weeks, so hopefully I won’t be too uncomfortable when strapped into the Summit Fleet Leasing/Playstation FORD this weekend.”

Round 4 of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar series will be held this weekend at Queensland Raceway, with practice on Friday, Qualifying and Race 1 Saturday, Races 2 and 3 Sunday.
