"Well the moment I've dreamed about, mowed lawns for, worked overtime to achieve and talked about too much...has come.
I've finally made my Bathurst debut and it feels like Santa has dropped his entire sack down my chimney. However as I've found out, this toy doesn't need batteries, just big shiny baubles (you get the idea).
This place is any boy-racer's dream and to be here in my own Falcon V8 Supercar almost brings a tear to the eye... especially when it's driving for the legend himself, Dick Johnson.
There are always reminders of just how punishing this place can be, every corner is a fine line of success and failure, it's literally the most dangerous circuit in Australia, but the most rewarding at the same time.
Take Dick for example, it's the 25 year anniversary since someone rolled a rock on to the track costing him a win but launching his career. He'd mortgaged his home and family's future in this car and facing ruin and painful failure, the public rallied for him emptying their wallets to keep his career alive. He repaid them by winning the very next year...
